Welcome to my first post!

I’ve had visions of a blog called Sweet Escape for years, and it’s finally here. Writing has always been something I enjoyed, whether it be a long analytical essay covering a book in high school English class, or jotting a quick thought down in my notes app- it often feels like an escape, a sweet one even.

I don’t have everything about this blog figured out (and honestly, I don’t think I want to). Like people, it’ll probably grow and change along the way. But here’s what you can expect: a peek into my inner monologue (promise it’s not too scary in there), stories from my life, and probably some pop culture takes no one asked for but I’ll share anyway.

To start things off, I’ll be reposting a few pieces from my Instagram blog that never quite felt at home there. This feels like the right place for them.
